This year we decided to go to Italy with our friends, Kathy and Chris. On recommendations from friends and colleagues, we narrowed our itinerary down to Rome and Positano, a small vacationer's paradise on the Amalfi Coast. Chris and Kathy started out their trip up north in Florence and Siena and met us in Rome when we arrived.

We couldn't have had a better trip! At last, we got to see some of the most outstanding examples of art and architecture in the world, got to find out what true Italian cooking is all about, and got to see the extraordinary natural beauty of the Amalfi Coast.
